Hawthorne Library was pleased this week to welcome Robert Clary, author of From the Holocaust to Hogan’s Heroes: the autobiography of Robert Clary this week. Mr. Clary shared riveting stories from his multifaceted life as a Holocaust survivor, entertainer, singer, artist, and actor. This program was sponsored by Friends of the Hawthorne and Wiseburn Libraries.

The Friends of the Libraries are pleased to provide both libraries with funding to purchase portable PA systems. The new PA systems, which include a speaker and wireless microphone, will improve accessibility, making it easier for patrons to hear during author talks, interest workshops, and other special library events.

In support of the libraries’ summer reading programs, Friends of the Hawthorne and Wiseburn Libraries is pleased to provide this year’s top prizes: a Kindle Fire and an iPad for each library! Now get reading! To learn more about the summer reading program, ask your librarian.
